Busy Bees
Welcome to Busy Bees. This room can accommodate up to 12 children aged from 2 to 3 years. The staff ratio in this room is 1:4 in compliance with CSIW regulations.

In the Busy Bee Room we follow the Birth to Three Framework whilst planning our daily activities. The room is full of amazing, colourful displays of our work from monthly and seasonal themes. We always include colours, numbers, letters and shapes in our displays to aid the childrens learning process as they begin to learn to recognize each topic.
There are lots of learning activities to master in this room! Our very dedicated staff, plan and implement a wide range of activities from painting, junk modelling, gluing and sticking to playdough as well as sand and water play in the messy play craft room. Whilst in the main room, the children enjoy dressing up, role play, construction toys, jigsaws and much more. The Busy Bees children favourite pastime is baking! We bake delicious pizza, cakes and fruit salad to take home for you all to taste!

Although we follow a planned daily routine, we offer a very flexible approach allowing each child to freely move between activities to help develop their personal interests and preferences. Inbetween planned activities our children spend time playing in their room during 'free play' where the 'Honey Pot' playhouse is a favourite. Reading books at story time, songs, rhymes and group activities ensure that our children are kept very busy.
Personal hygiene routines are encouraged in the Busy Bees. With the support of our caring staff, we encourage our children to wash their hands and faces independently and help them brush their teeth after meal times. We also liase a toilet training programme with parents to ensure their child has a positive transition to independent toileting.
Whatever activity, event or issue that occurs in the Busy Bee Room, there is a member of staff to help, guide and support your child through this stage of nursery.
As we believe it is essential for young children to get lots of fresh air and exercise, we make great use of our outdoor facilities, ensuring the children are outdside at least twice a day. To keep active the children ride on the bikes, play with balls, skittles, bean bags and hoops and are able to run around the nursery garden. When the weather permits, we take our activities outside for a whole new learning experience.
Each child is allocated a Key Worker who is a member of staff based in that room and is responsible for their developmental files and daily report forms. We will discuss your child's day with you at the end of each nursery session and at our Parents Evening which is held twice a year.
